It was a good while back when Lenovo announced they were manufacturing a ThinkPad Tablet, so long ago that most have forgotten about it. But although it’s been a while it is finally here! It is available for order on the American Lenovo website for $499. As usual us in Ireland aren’t able to get it just yet but hopefully it will also be released on the Irish Lenovo website soon.

iOS 5 Earthquake Warnings
HP Has Ended webOS
HP recently announced that they are no longer going to be manufacturing products for the webOS mobile operating system. After HP bought Palm for 1.2 Billion last year they have started to need to scrape the bottom of the bucket for money which means them attempting to sell webOS. As they are attempting to sell it they have stopped manufacturing their webOS based hardware products like the TouchPad. As webOS is dead you can now get a HP TouchPad for dirt. The American Amazon website has lowered the price to $99 for the 16gb model and shops in America are selling them for as little as $50 which is around €35 compared to the €479 price tag for the iPad your getting quite a bargain.
iPhone 5
Many rumours have surfaced about the iPhone 5. Some of which are that the screen will go from edge to edge, that the home button will be capacitive and will have gestures. Like the touchpads of MacBooks and on the Magic mouse, to launch applications. Some pictures have been leaked of the capacitive touch screen of the possible iPhone 5.
The iPhone 5 will be running on iOS 5 which will have new software like iMessage which is the messaging equivalent of FaceTime, you will get to send free messages and pictures to other iMessage enabled devices once they are connected to WiFi (Basically its e-mail except, more restricted and most likely crap!) It will also have improved notifications which you will be able to access by sliding down the top bar, much like an Android phone. The release date has been rumoured to be in October 2011, everyone is going to want one for Christmas, including me I must say.
The iPhone has been rumoured to look something like this from evidence of the screens being manufactured in the picture above.
